Hopefully this doesn’t go so wide that I have to write a broader description!

While currently existing with an income averaging at $0 and making due with help from family and friends, limping slowly along, applying for 25 jobs a day and eating from food banks, our car got booted because we were unable to afford two $65 tickets. We’ve used the rest of the credit card available balance and everybody’s birthday money to get the car un-booted, but that’s unsustainable and kind of depressing.

The initial, smaller goal is $745.54, but I’d really love to be able to cover the entirety of the parking tickets we got as a result of being 30 seconds late to the spot or blinking twice or that one ticket where the officer in question was literally fired for police corruption. That’s the reason for the very large number, but if we make $745.54, at least everyone will get their birthday money back. 🙂
